    • Yoga And Pilates With Daphnee

Daphnee is a yoga teacher in the Yoga and Poole area; opening for business in September 2020. During the initial stages of her business set-up I built YogaPilatesWithDaphnee.com, including web hosting, email addresses, QR codes, and SEO optimization.

Daphnee's website is built within Wordpress using the Astra template, allowing us to benefit from a number of useful free pre-built plugins that help keep the initial costs down, including a calander and contact forms. However the site is heavily customised with CSS to give it a clean and peaceful feel, avoiding the typical wordpress template look.

Daphnee uses the website to communicate her yoga class schedule through an events calendar and to host a number of client forms that automatically send submitted data to her email inbox. As her business grows, we are planning to add more features to accomodate a higher customer volume, including a store and a booking system.

    • Jenart Design

Jenart Design Limited are a custom bag manufacturer in Dorset. I worked with them during August 2020 to produce a modern, updated website replacement for Jenart.com, which was previously an extremely outdated design and gave an unimpressive, badly performing web presence.

Jenart's website is built within Wordpress using the Canuck template, allowing us to benefit from a number of useful free pre-built plugins that help keep the initial costs down, including contact forms. However the site is heavily customised with CSS to give it a unique style that mimics their newly created logo and product line.

    • Chris And Nic House Sit

Chris and Nic are housesitters in the U.K. They required a web presence to promote their housesitting business, particularly to provide a link between various social media platforms.

Chris and Nic's website is built using only HTML, CSS, and javaScript. Build a website in this way (i.e. without using a template builder such as Wordpress or Wix) allows the website to perform much faster and allows freedom to experiment with different styles.

Chris and Nic have a video for their front page and make use of svg shapes and clipping to provide interesting segueways and textures throughout the site.

    • Lucy Mellors, Soprano

Lucy's website was migrated over from WIX, where it was hosted on a highly restricted template. Lucy wanted a modern professional look, but retaining access to edit in a user friendly CMS.

Lucymellors.com is built on a bespoke wordpress template. The website is built as a column and the entire site can be browsed just by scrolling down. Building a custom wordpress template meant that we get the advantages of up-to-date SEO and contact form plugin technology, but also having complete control over style and function.

The design allows the user to make use of a customised embedded soundcloud player, which will allow the reader to listen to Lucy's catalogue of music while exploring the site, without interruptions.
